AFP to Brunei 29th May to 1st Jun 2016 (30th May)

On the second day, we set off early to visit Sekolah Rendah Keriam Tutong. The pupils and staff there gave us a warm welcome. Not only did we have a school tour, we also had the opportunity to try out some hands-on activities. There were also performances specially for us. I was especially proud of all of you when you put up a wonderful dance performance on stage for our host.
It was definitely an enriching visit to the school.

After that, we had a scrumptious lunch before visiting Royal Regalia to learn more about the history of Brunei, the royalties and the people. We also visited Mahkota Crystal Factory to learn more about the production of glass products. We ended the day with a visit to the Jame'Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque.

Here are some photos taken that day.

Several of our pupils went to Brunei for an overseas learning journey from 29th May to 1st June. . Brunei is a sovereign state on the island of Borneo. The population of Brunei is about 400 000. The head of the government is the Sultan of Brunei.

On the first day there, we went to a water village Kampung Ayer and we even visited the village chief who was very gracious and hospitable. After that, we visited the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddin mosque before heading back for our dinner.

Annual Sports Day

This morning, the Annual Sports Day took place. There were laughter, cheers, joy, anguish and tears. Above all these, I see a class bonding as one. It is through shared experiences when people come together and become closer.

Winning or losing is one of the many many lessons in life which we have to go through. Do not be dishearten if you have not won anything. Do not gloat if you have won something.

Remember "Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm" - Winston Churchill. Congratulations to everyone who has won. Give yourself a pat on your back! :) To everyone who has not won any medal. Give yourself a pat on your back too and tell yourself you can always try again.

Have a good weekend! Revise for your SA1!

How big are we?

I'm proud that we have won the inter-class contest on Cyber wellness.
Fantastic job with writing the message!
"Be like 5B!" :)

SA1 is just around the corner. Do revise your work and the past years work as well.
When you are taking a break you can take a look at this short video clip. It's quite an interesting clip.

How big are we actually? Or, how small are we actually?
